Final Gong
With two extra days I went ahead and added in a hand painted texture for the pattern. I used XNormals to get my normals for UDK I had some trouble with too much sculpting and it lining up properly but I have the pattern lining up pretty well in UDK. All in all I feel like this is a successful project.

Early Z Brush on my gong
The flourishing pattern I want to work on even more but I want them to look like abstract dragons and the shield to look like fire. I feel like this can be a successful concept I just have to put some more effort into the details but I like where it's going.
Final Project: The Gong
So far I have the base meshes ready for zbrush I had quite a time trying to get them to import correctly so that when i activated symmetry that it would line up correctly. I have them lined up for export and will probably just wait until morning before I do anymore in Zbrush because it is not my specialty right now.

Last Stop Final
I was pretty happy with how a bunch of my textures came out. If you look closely you can see I repeated it like everywhere hopefully very craftfully.

Last Stop Progress
I have been playing with a siding pattern that I haven't quite perfected it so I omitted it from the pictures right here.

Last Stop Progress
I have established a base texture of a stucco for the building and I started painting in some rust and paint run off coming from the room. For the roof I want to paint in some section work into it. For the ground underneath I am thinking some kind of old cement for the ground with a few cracks here and there. For signs in the window I want to just do a few hand written signs with clever little sayings like "We Have Everything You Will Ever Need, Guaranteed." something like that and a few other signs especially like the cola ones on the top sides of the sign. The name will still be The Last Stop. For the big awning I'm thinking a traditional red and white or maybe a blue and white but it will be old and worn of course. In the windows I want to have signs in the way but a slight glimpse inside the store so that you can catch a peep in. I feel like I am progressing nicely with this and referencing other textures for everything else.

Project 2; The Last Stop
For my second project I was referencing some of the links and looking at some of the hand painted textured work and I was having some trouble thinking about what I would want to do. I basically typed in "quaint" in google under images and just rifled through the images and click around from one topic to the other until this little store popped up. It called out to me or something I was drawn to it and I was inspired to create this little shop with hand painted textures. I feel comfortable with this because I would not have to take this into Z Brush and I'm more than comfortable in Maya and Photoshop.
Some of the examples of hand painted textures and small little stores. I would like to stay as close to the original Last Stop as possible whilst referencing reality of course.

Cat Model
I learned alot from this project and that's mostly time management. There were so many obstacles but overall I don't hate it. Room for improvement definitely.

The Poet's Progress
I am still shaping out his body getting ready to make his arms, I started on the feet and am still deciding if I want his feet to be shoes or cat paws I'm still not sure. I do know when I texture him I want to make him Siamese.
Proposed Project One; Cat Character
I want to model the base off of The Poet off The Cat Piano and take a few creative liberties once I get him shaped out. I've already started and will also post progression shots.

Finished Baby Dragon
Working in Z Brush has been pretty fun and I feel a little more comfortable in the program now. For my baby dragon I reference a few different lizards but ultimately wanted to keep it as dragonesque as possible. The main thing I wanted out of my dragon was for it to be scary looking, I wanted a menacing dragon and I think I have it here.

Fixing my dragon in z brush
I was trying to get an underlying skull underneath my sculpt for my dragon. It's my first real project in Z brush but I am getting the hang of it.

Final Ship Wreck
I was able to really adjust the settings for the render once I got to school and being able to hike up the settings really gave me a finished product that I am fairly happy with. The tutorial was a pretty big help and with that I finally remembered how to display my models properly and I am excited to do more.
Final Ship Display
I wanted the deserted island feel and I did not do a stand with plaque but I felt like this would make a stronger statement.
